The modern lifestyle has deprived us of meaningful contact with wildlife and our natural environment. The refrigeration sections of supermarkets become home to a vast array of amazing creatures and arguably one of the best places for close-up observation; where present-day vacuum sealing techniques allow us to keep a safe distance from the animals, including birds, pork or beef, and bushy plants.

Created by german artist stefanie herr, the fake styrofoam containers are made from conservation quality matboard
and photo rag, executed entirely by hand. The relief is influenced by natural landforms and habitats and named after real places.

Now that is pretty cool, don't you think?
