Their story is a modern version of a classic fashion fairytale.


If the names Garance Dore and Scott Schuman are not yet familiar to you, you must not be aware of the powerful force and inspiration that is street style.  Perhaps, you don't own a computer?   Maybe your internet's been on the fritz since 2003?

The pair each author a blog which currently dominates the growing online fashion community - each of them known far across the internet, allowing them to follow each others blogs long before ever meeting face to face.  Still...from opposite sides of the Atlantic they admired one another through their laptop screens.   Eventually, they met at a place where only two successful fashion bloggers could ever meet – Paris fashion week.   They became fast friends, but it would take three years for their romance to finally blossom.

Garance’s blog ( - a distinctly feminine and intimate account of ideas, people, or things that peak her interest - is highlighted by personal photos and beautiful sketches.   Scott’s site, The Sartorialist, receives at least 140,000 hits a day, and is dominated by interesting and effortless photos of both men and women with a unique, daring, or impeccable sense of style.  Now considered fashion’s E-power couple, they’ve both expanded their discerning eye far beyond street style for fashion junkies.   Her illustrations and his photos are requested by such heavyweights as Celine, DKYNY, the Gap and Burberry.  They've each worked freelance for renowned publications as Time Magazine, Teen Vogue, British Vogue and

So what do we, as avid readers and fashion followers, have to look forward to? The unstoppable duo (just returning from Montauk) plan to continue photographing and traveling the world: “We want to go to countries that have folkloric costumes," says Schuman. "In India I want to shoot girls wearing saris in great colour combinations or in an unusual way.”
