The Team : our tightknit little family.

Cargoh is a social marketplace for independent art, design + culture. An easy to use e-commerce solution for independent creatives to buy and sell the things they create. We saw a need for a venue to support a huge community of emerging designers. So we built it.

We are just a group of passionate peeps with giant dreams trying to build a creative community. But what really matters is you! You are the amazing talent that drives the marketplace and for that we are truly grateful. We love you guys! Seriously!

Meet the Culprits : the brains & bodies behind the project. Calling Cards : our sorted stories.

PAUL BURGER Founder / CEO / Business Brain

South African Born, moved to Vancouver Canada at the ripe old age of 16. After a brief stint as a grocery cashier, he decided to give business school a try. After a couple years of that, he was mesmerized by the bright lights of Hollywood and spent the better part of a decade as an Assistant Director before deciding to drop back into the business world. He spent a couple years developing high end luxury homes before launching Cargoh. When he's not nose deep in a keyboard he also enjoys a good cocktail with his wifey, a funny T-shirt and cruising through the city on his John Deere bike.

CARIANN BURGER Founder / Art Director / Idea Maker

Born and raised in the high desert of Reno, Nevada, Cariann headed for the coast to study Interior Design at the Design Institute of San Diego. After school, she left the land of golden skin and great Mexican Food, to work in film industry in Vancouver, BC. After falling in love with a young South African boy, she put her design talents to good use designing high end luxury homes before launching Cargoh. When she is not connecting with our amazing community, she can be found at her sewing machine making just about anything, or on a patio sipping on a nice cold one!

ANGELA KARINN Designer / Detail Watchwoman

An all Canadian girl raised in the cold winters of Northern British Columbia, she traded in her small-town ways for the big city, and found herself with a design degree from Emily Carr University. With a passion for online communication she's self-taught in the ways of the web. After 3 years of providing a mix of creative, yet practical solutions for a long list of clients, she threw her heart into redesigning Cargoh from top to bottom and hasn't looked back! When not firmly planted in front of her laptop, she can be found biking around town, trying to find a mountain to climb, or lazing about with a non-fiction read.   Visit My Site >

GABRIEL CABRERA Intern / Social Media Ninja

Expatriated Latin soul with a Canadian heart and a human body. Community Specialist by day, creative blogger by night. Firm believer that creativity can be found almost everywhere. A lustful lover of visual inspiration and a fervent enemy of arrogance, boredom and reggaeton.   Visit my blog : GBOX

SCOTT HADFIELD Developer / Drupal Demon

Scott has led the technical operations for a small handful of startups over the past ten years. At Cargoh he plays the role of web developer, code monkey, unlicensed plumber, and system administrator. If the site's working smoothly, you have Scott to thank (but when it's not, talk to Paul). When he's not working on Cargoh you may be able to find him on a flight to an exotic destination such as Ang Thong, El Tigre, or Abbotsford in search of the best of the internet, that has yet to be added to the internet.

She currently hosts a renovation column on HGTV.com where she catalogs her experiences as an impromptu interior designer. Erin's work has been featured in Glamour, Lucky, Dwell, Readymade, Nylon, Print Magazine, Apartment Therapy and The Huffington Post.

Morgan Shanahan : the818.com Morgan Shanahan

Morgan Shanahan was an ad industry lackey by day, freshman screenwriter by...also day, when she found herself laid off and knocked up - not in that order. What began as a new years' resolution to write for herself daily quickly became a journal of her pregnancy (and the panic it induced) and an accidental Mom Blogger was born. (Don't ever call her that to her face.)

These days Morgan lives (with fury), works (as a screen-and-copywriter), and loves (her daughter, her hubby, and her farting duo of dogs to name a few) in the San Fernando Valley, where she litters the internet as the BlogHer Entertainment Editor, blogs on art + design for Cargoh.com's This Side Up, and of course, by over-sharing her personal life (complete with curse words) on a semi-daily basis at The818.com.
