Here is a stunning belt buckle made out of a rich mahogany wood with black epoxy resin inlayed bike motif. The banana seat bike motif was hand cut using a scroll saw and not laser cut. The buckle is made up of multiple layers of thinly sliced wood and then glued and bent over a form to add a slight curve to the wood. This is done to add a bit of dimension to an otherwise flat piece of wood. The backer wood is made up of thin layers of hard Eastern maple which is a very durable hard wood. It is often used for wooden mallets and even baseball bats. The buckle back hardware is attached with a strong epoxy and also screwed in place. The buckle is also finished with multiple layers of a durable Tung oil to bring out the full richness of the mahogany.
The buckle measures 2" wide by 3" long and it accommodates a standard 1 1/2" wide belt.
It can also be custom made with the color of your choice.
