Here is a stunning belt buckle made out of a rich mahogany wood with black epoxy roller skate motif. It is sure to please all you roller derby enthusiasts. The motif was hand cut using a scroll saw and not laser cut. The buckle is made up of multiple layers of thinly sliced wood and then glued and bent over a form to add a slight curve to the wood. This is done to add a bit of dimension to an otherwise flat piece of wood. The backer wood is made up of a hard maple which is very durable and often used for wooden mallets and baseball bats. The buckle back hardware is attached with a strong epoxy and also screwed in place. The buckle is also finished with multiple layers of a durable hand rubbed Tung oil to bring out the full richness of the mahogany.
The buckle measures 2" wide by 3" long and it accommodates a standard 1 1/2" wide belt.
