A statement piece for sure! This headpiece will be featured in Premier Bride Magazine in April 2012.
This headpiece is made from a lightweight nylon mesh (it has a slightly heavier "hand" than tulle and subsequently, more body to keep it's shape).
There are two layers of "pouf", the first interior layer is adorned with four vintage silk flowers ( you can see their origin here: http://thethirty-somethingbride.squarespace.com/imported-20100102151706/...). There are two ivory colored flowers and two variegated pink flowers as well as a scattering of vintage velvet leaves. The first layer is then covered in another layer, trapping the flowers and leaves inside, giving the piece an ethereal and dreamy feeling.
The pouf is attached to a sturdy 6.25"L x 4.75"W teardrop shaped buckram frame, which should be bobby pinned to the hair at points indicated on the frame. The overall approximate diameter is 15-17" and the approximate overall height it 8-9".
Kindly remember that there is more to shipping than just the price on the front of the envelope. All of my items are shipped USPS first class or priority mail. Insurance is not included unless the buyer requests it (it's an additional fee- I am not responsible for items lost in the mail or confirmed delivered but not received, so please consider requesting insurance). The "handling" part of shipping is the price of the packaging, the act of packaging, the to and from the post office.
